Pre-op Assessment

A full medical work-up, weeks before you fly

A thorough, hands-on health check with a UK-registered doctor before you travel, so you and your surgeon know exactly where you stand.

Purpose

Why assess in the UK

Your assessment is the start of a partnership. You get a UK team and one local contact who stays with you through the whole journey.

Whatever you face before or after surgery, we help you manage it, and your surgeon gets an accurate, doctor-checked picture to plan around.

Problems found here are found early, when there is still time to act.

Arrive ready, so your surgery can go ahead as planned.

Questions

Common questions

Does Pre-op Assessment mean I am approved for surgery?

No. Your treating surgeon makes the final decision about your surgery, together with you.

Are all of these assessments included?

No. Your assessment covers the baseline checks such as blood tests and an ECG. Specialist tests and second opinions are offered at an extra cost. We confirm the cost before anything is booked.

Which blood tests will I have?

Usually a full blood count, kidney and liver function, blood sugar and clotting, plus anything your history calls for.

Is the consultation face to face?

Yes. Your doctor sees and examines you in person, and your tests are done in person too.

Do you share my information automatically?

No. Your clinical report is shared with a clinic only with your consent. See our privacy notice.

Can I use my own recent test results?

Sometimes. Your doctor will tell you if they're recent enough.
