Why clinics partner with VidaMed

Your surgeons focus on the operation. We give your UK patients the confidence and continuity they look for.

Convert hesitant enquiries

"Who looks after me at home?" stops UK patients booking. A named UK team answers it.

Fewer cancellations on the day

Anaemia, blood pressure and medicine issues are found weeks before travel.

Stand out on trust

A UK aftercare route and published standards set you apart from other clinics.

Protect your reputation

Concerns are handled early in the UK and reach you clearly, before they become reviews.

Patients who come back

Patients who feel looked after return for further procedures and refer friends.

A UK presence, no UK clinic

Consultations, tests and follow-up in the UK, so you serve UK patients end to end.

Published criteria

Our Partner Standards

We review every overseas partner clinic against eight areas before it is offered to patients, and again at intervals.

Licensing

The clinic holds the licence required to operate in its country, covering the procedures offered and verifiable where possible.

Surgeon credentials

Named surgeons hold recognised specialist qualifications and registration, with training in the procedures offered.

Anaesthesia and critical care

Qualified anaesthetists, resuscitation equipment and a clear plan, including critical care access, if a patient deteriorates.

Infection control

Written infection prevention and sterilisation policies, clean theatres and wards, and monitoring of infection rates.

Outcome monitoring

The clinic records outcomes and complication rates and reviews them regularly with its surgical team.

Complication policy

A written policy for complications and revisions, with a clear contact route for patients at home.

Emergency escalation

A hospital partner and a clear escalation plan if a patient needs a higher level of care.

Clinical records and handover

Operation notes and discharge summaries shared with UK clinicians, securely and with consent.

Notes and sources

Illustrative model. A mid-sized Turkish clinic serving UK patients, with every UK patient coming through VidaMed. These are assumptions, not VidaMed results, and should be replaced with each clinic's own numbers. Assumptions. 400 UK enquiries a year; 25% book today (100 patients); 20% of enquirers hesitate mainly over care at home (80), consistent with 97% of medical travellers rating trust as critical [2]; VidaMed converts 25% of those (20 extra, 120 in total); average procedure value £4,500; UK marketing budget £80,000 a year, unchanged; day-of-surgery cancellation 7.8% without pre-op assessment [1] and 2% with it (more cautious than the 0% in [1]); a lost theatre slot costs £3,000; 10 in 100 patients return or refer without VidaMed, 20 in 100 with it. Calculations. Fewer cancellations = (7.8% − 2%) ÷ 7.8% = 74%. More bookings = 20 ÷ 100 = +20%. Acquisition cost = £80,000 ÷ 100 (£800) versus £80,000 ÷ 120 (£667), 17% lower. Value per patient = lost theatre time avoided (5.8% × £3,000 = £174) + extra revenue (20 × £4,500 ÷ 120 = £750) + repeat and referral value (10% × £4,500 = £450) = £1,374; the acquisition saving is not added, to avoid counting the extra bookings twice.
