Going abroad for surgery?

Four worries we hear every day.

And how we answer each one.

  • Am I fit for this operation?

A UK doctor checks your health and tells you plainly if anything needs sorting first.

  • Is my surgeon's plan right for me?

A UK consultant in your procedure can review it with you before you commit.

  • Who looks after me when I'm home?

We do. Your first UK review is booked before you fly.

  • What if something doesn't feel right?

You contact us first. We assess you, speak to your surgeon and arrange what's next.

A few things to know

Good questions.
Clear answers.

All questions
Does an assessment mean I can definitely have surgery?

No. It gives you and your surgeon an accurate picture. If something needs attention, we tell you early.

Can I use my own clinic abroad?

Yes. Tell us which clinic and we'll connect with their team.

Can I get a second opinion on my surgeon's plan?

Yes. A UK specialist in your procedure, by video or in person.

Where can I access care?

In London, or across the UK by video, with a full UK team for your assessment and aftercare.

When should I get in touch?

Ideally eight weeks before you travel. Shorter timelines are often possible.

For overseas clinics

Patients who arrive ready.

UK patients assessed before they fly and cared for when they return.
